On the occasion of the 55th Anniversary of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Transportation (SMET), MUST, the VI National Olympiad on “Metal Studies” has successfully organized among the students of MUST and engineering and technology employers on 30th September 2017 at the School of Mechanical Engineering and Transportation.
The Olympiad opened by Dr. J. Khashbat, Vice-dean of SMET, and Prof. Dr. Mosorow Vladimir Ivanovich, full professor of East-Siberian State University, greeted and wished success to the participants.
There were 39 students from 8 schools such as: SMET, School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, School of Geology and Mining Engineering, Technology School in Darkhan, University of Life Sciences of Mongolia, East-Siberian State University and University of Transportation.
Thus, 16 engineers from 7 organizations such as: “Beren Metals” LLC, “East region energy grid” State share holding LLC, “Ora metal” LLC, “Erdenet” Mining Corp., “Darkhan metallurgy factory” State share holding LLC, “Energy development center” and “IV Thermo-electric plant”.

During the Olympiad, scientific conference on “New material and advanced new technology” took place among the students, universities and professional associations.
Prof. Dr. J. Gombojav’s family members awarded prizes to the successful participants and closed the event.
