The " Higher Engineering Education Development” (M-JEED) is also known as the "1000 engineers" to the society. Within the scope of the Project on Mongolian-Japan Engineering Education Development, The Cooperative meeting of “Joint Researches-New Technology” was successfully concluded on March 11-12, 2019. The conference aimed to strengthen a cooperation of two countries’ researchers and thematic research teams, enhance results of the research works and to successfully apply them into the practice, develop human resources and its build capacities, teaching skills of the lecturers and researchers in engineering, technology and environmental and to raise public and other stakeholders’ awareness of the project implementation and its mid-term outcomes.

The opening greetings and remarks were delivered by Mrs.Bayarsaikhan.,B State Secretary of Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, Mr.Matsuhashi Tomoyuki, the Third Secretary of Japanese Embassy in Mongolia, Prof.Ochirbat.,B the President of Mongolian University of Science and Technology, Prof.Tumurbaatar.,Ya President of Mongolian National University. Keynote speeches delivered by Mr.Munkhbat.,S Director of Science and Technology Policy Department of MECSS,  Mrs.Amarjargalan.,T Director of the High Education Policy Department of MECSS, Prof.Namnan.,T Vice-president for Research and Cooperation of MUST, Prof.Ochirkhuyag.,B  Vice-President for Research and Cooperation of NUM and Dr.Osanai.Ya, Vice-president for Kyushu University.

The poster presentations and publications on results of the joint thematic researches were displayed and exhibited to the public lasted for 2 days. Moreover, 20 joint research team members had presented 56 presentations on the Research priorities of MUST in New Materials, Resource Technology Engineering, Energy and Environmental Engineering, Automation and System Engineering and Bio-Engineering (food, medical products and bio-printing) and the Research priorities of NUM on Bio-technology, Nano-technology, Renewable Energy and Clean Energy Technology and Microelectronics and Information Communication Technology discussed the presentation during the plenary sessions. Summarized results, new ideas and recommendation of the presentation and discussions were introduced to MECSS, M-JEED Project Implementation Unit and the presidents of the partner universities.

Under the 10 joint research projects at MUST, approximately 200 researchers have attended in degree and non-degree programs, 500 students have studied in Kosen and Twinning programs and over 100 Visiting Scholars from Japan have worked at MUST to provide technical assistance to professionals both professionals in the long and short terms. As a result of the cooperation and Joint research works, 111 scientific international research papers, 110 scientific national papers, 1 utility model, 1 new technology, 1 standard were developed and disseminated for further professional use. Additionally, 8 Memorandum of Understanding were signed with 8 Japanese universities.

Furthermore, a decision to organize the cooperative meeting of “Joint Researches –New Technology” will be organized once in two years till the end of the project.
