Mongolian University of Science and Technology’s new academic year’s opening ceremony was held majestically. Top officials - Batsuuri.J, minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sport, and Amarjargalan.T, director of its higher education division, Ochirbat.B, MUST president, Shimizu Takashi, Sanko Group’s president and Nyamdelger.G, Sanko Marketing’s director and Enkhjargal.Kh, Baasandash.Ch, Jargaltuya.P, vice presidents of MUST- attended the opening ceremony.
President’s Scholars were announced; the recipients were Tamir.U from School of Civil Engineering and Tseren.R from School of Business Administration and Humanities, Tuvshintor.Ch from School of Geology and Mining Engineering, Enkhsaikhan.B from School of Mechanical Engineering Transportation, Batjargal.Ch from School of Information and Telecommunication Technology, Erdenehand.Ts from School of Industrial Technology , Zov-Uilst.N from School of Applied Science and Shijir.A from School of Power Engineering. Furthermore, Sanko Group’s Scholarship was given, which started from academic year of 2015-16.
The group’s president Shimizu Takashi awarded the scholarship to five students – Ariunsanaa.A from School of Civil Engineering, Ganzorig.B from School of Information and Telecommunication Technology, Bulganzaya.M from School of Industrial Technology, Bumanbaatar.B from School of Civil Engineering and Undral.E from Institute of Foreign Languages.
The ceremony took place in the square right outside the university; open expo for students was organized. Pagma.B from School of Power Engineering gave a speech representing the incoming class of students; thus, the new academic year had officially started.
Dr. David Bellatalla, an Italian cultural anthropologist, cultural researcher, and historian, has been awarded the Academic Title of “Honorary Professor” of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology.
