The workshop organized on 20 March to 05 April at Central Library of Science and Technology.
On 20 March, Prof. D. Tumenbold, CDIO master trainer and MIT trainer, gave training on theory of learning and knowledge, Bloom taxonomy, determining students’ emotional model and motivating the students to learn. Thus, discussion on MIT Teaching and Learning Lab activities and faculty professional development delivered among the participants.
On 22 March, Dr. D. Tuya, senior lecturer of Foreign Language Institute and MIT master trainer, moderated “Active learning methods” and delivers MUD card to wrap up previous workshop which includes clickers no clickers, answers on picture showing and questionnaire cards. These active learning methods were interesting to implement in a workshop.
On 27 March, “Analyzing teaching outcomes” presentation was presented by Dr. Delgernasan, senior lecturer of School of Mechanical Engineering and Transportation and MIT master trainer. Participants were practicing Specific, Measurable, Realistic and Student centered methods during the workshop.
On 29 March, Dr. D. Ganbat, Professor of Department of Mechanics and MIT master trainer, delivered workshop of “Using ICT in active learning”. Plickers.com is a powerful tool to assessing students and gathering evaluation in a moment, Padlet.com is a simple method to generate online forum and Classroom.google.com is paperless teaching materials, delivering and examining and assessing the students online. During the workshop MIT-MUST 2nd group involved in a Google classroom.
On 3 April, Assoc. Prof. Kh. Azjargal, Vice-dean of School of Civil Engineering and Architecture and MIT master trainer, delivered presentation on “Teachers’ skill” and Dr. D. Bayarmaa, senior lecturer of School of Business Administration and Humanities, delivered presentation of “Active learning methods”. In this workshop, participants were practiced on Kolb’s learning cycle, active learning methods for lecture and seminars and discussed about teacher’s voice tone, eye contact, gesture and creativity.
On 5 April, Assoc. Prof. G. Munkhsaikhan, Head of the Department of Physics and MIT master trainer, delivered presentation of “Learning assessment”. Learning assessment should not be pointing at students; however it should be comes with the students. When processing assessment, purpose of the lecture, evaluation methods and results should be considered. She took an example on physics course.
